Field School Day 1

Today was the first day of work with all of the students.  We have the immense task of removing wind-blown fine sands using buckets and wheel barrows.  Great progress was made although it was difficult to see from the ground.

The digging was hard work and everyone was thoroughly coated with sand.

    I’ve been intrigued by the Blackwater Draw site for years and am gratified so see some science/fieldwork being resumed, FINALLY! Congratulations to the the new director and good luck.
