Artifact of the Week 2/7/2011

These groundstone fragments were found eroding from the red sands on the west edge of the Blackwater Draw pond in June 1968.  The fragments are extremely abraded and probably represent three different groundstone tools.  These artifacts were found near fine-grained flaking debris and a Folsom projectile point fragment.  Donated by J. Warnica.
