The ANTH 245 class, Introduction to Archaeology, visited the Blackwater Draw site on September 12th.  The class enjoyed a discussion of the history and findings of the site presented by George Crawford, site archaeologist, and Dr. David Kilby, professor.  After the students spent some time in the visitors center viewing excavated faunal remains and artifacts, they continued to the bonebed to view the bison excavation in situ.  For many of the students this was their first visit to the site and displayed a lot of enthusiasm toward having such an archaeological gem in our own ENMU backyard.
